Billboard’s first-ever Trailblazer Award recipients continue to build their ever-expanding empire of innovative artistry and entrepreneurial endeavors throughout their colossal career. With their romantic roots-infused “Simple” surging Country charts, as the lead single off their anticipated fourth studio album, the kings of collaborations are shattering records with 3X PLATINUM-certified #1 “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha [14th #1 overall as artists plus leads the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a 28th week – surpassing FGL’s own “Cruise” for the second-longest reign overall]. Exceeding 4.2 billion streams, 31 million tracks and more than 4.3 million albums sold worldwide, BMLG Records’ duo remains the first and only Country act to achieve RIAA’s DIAMOND certification (10 million copies sold) for their breakout “Cruise,” which is the best-selling digital Country single of all time (SoundScan). Since 2012, FGL has earned prestigious honors from the AMAs, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and CMT Music Awards, plus left their mark on several chart-crushing songs as writers.

The bona fide visionaries have launched their own Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey, as well as thriving businesses: FGL HOUSE, meet + greet, Tree Vibez Music, and Tribe Kelley. This summer, they’ll supercharge music festivals before kicking off the inaugural FGL Fest with a concert inside Turn 4 of the historic oval during the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 25th annual NASCAR weekend (9/8). The world-class entertainers will further elevate their revolutionary status with a limited residency, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS, inside Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning December 1.

Specializing in country-pop so smooth it could also seem at home on adult contemporary radio, Dan + Shay never managed an actual crossover hit when they began racking up hits in 2013. Nevertheless, their inherent sweetness served as a counterpoint to the swaggering bro-country that dominated mainstream country during the mid-2010s. Audiences responded, sending “Nothin’ Like You,” “From the Ground Up,” and “How Not To” to the number one slot on Billboard’s country charts during the course of 2015 and 2016, helping to establish the duo as the heirs to Rascal Flatts’ brand of cheerful, melodic country-pop.

Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney hailed from different corners of the United States — Smyers came from Wexford, Pennsylvania, Mooney from Natural Dam, Arkansas — but met in Nashville in December 2012. Prior to that, each of the musicians spent his adolescence playing music, learning how to write his own songs along the way. They didn’t limit themselves to country music. Smyers played in a few pop-punk bands, including Transition and Bonaventure, while Mooney had a deal with T-Pain’s label, Nappy Boy.

The pair teamed up after a chance meeting in Nashville and almost immediately began collaborating. Quickly, their songs circulated around the Music City, gaining the attention of Rascal Flatts and, in turn, several publishing houses. Soon, the duo signed with Warner Chappell, with a record deal with Warner Nashville following soon afterward.

Where It All Began “19 You + Me,” the first single by the duo now christened Dan + Shay, appeared in October of 2013, climbing its way to number 11 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. The full-length debut Where It All Began followed in April 2014. “Show You Off,” the album’s second single, didn’t go further than 21 on the Country Airplay chart, but “Nothin’ Like You” reached the number one position in December 2015. Its success provided the platform to launch Obsessed, Dan + Shay’s second album. Arriving in June 2016, the record debuted at eight on the Billboard charts thanks to the number one Country Airplay single “From the Ground Up,” which was quickly followed by a second chart-topper, “How Not To.” “Road Trippin’,” a single released to radio in July 2017 (it peaked at 42), kept the duo on the charts while they prepared their third album.
Dan + Shay “Tequila,” the first single from that third album, was released in January 2018, peaking at number three on the Country Airplay chart while cracking Billboard’s Hot 100; it reached 32 on the Top 40. A second single, “Speechless,” appeared prior to the June release of Dan + Shay.

It’s time to get to know “Country music’s newest superstar” (NKD Mag), MORGAN WALLEN, whose debut album IF I KNOW ME will be released Friday, April 27 on Big Loud Records.

Wallen dropped the news Wednesday morning (4/4) during a visit with SiriusXM The Highway host Storme Warren. Later that evening, he surprised a wall-to-wall crowd during his headlining set at the official “Tradition Evolved” Tennessee Titans after party at FGL HOUSE in Nashville, revealing the album’s striking artwork.

“I moved to town three years ago and have gotten to write with some of the best songwriters and artists in Nashville,” says Wallen. “I’m ready for people to hear this album and get to know what I’m all about. There are songs that have made the journey with me and I’m just really proud to be putting IF I KNOW ME out there.”

Earlier Wednesday night, the electric entertainer made a special cameo appearance during Florida Georgia Line’s downtown street party concert, celebrating the new Titans jersey redesign, to perform “Up Down,” his Top 20-and-climbing single that features the MULTI-PLATINUM duo.

Produced by ACM and CMA Award winner Joey Moi, IF I KNOW ME will be available for pre-order on all digital platforms beginning April 13. A detailed track listing and additional insight into the anticipated project will be revealed soon.

Continuing his hot streak, Wallen was recently named to Music Choice’s PRIMED new artist initiative for April and the platform will air exclusive content beginning April 9. Check out a sneak peek here.

Hailed as “a legend in the making,” (CMchatlive), Wallen is set to perform at WME’s Bash at the Beach (4/13) during ACM Party for a Cause festivities in Las Vegas. He’ll then continue his headlining UP DOWN TOUR along the West Coast through April, including a 4/25 stop at L.A.’s famed Troubadour nightclub, before hitting hallowed festivals including Stagecoach, CMA Fest, and Carolina Country Music Fest. He’ll also join megastar Luke Bryan’s WHAT MAKES YOU COUNTRY TOUR as support beginning in May, opening for nearly three dozen summer dates including 11 stadium shows.
