A native of Akron, Ohio, Teddy Robb grew up loving the outdoors. During college at Kent State, he fished, hiked, and played football, but it was also during this time when Teddy heard George Strait’s iconic song, “Troubadour,” and his passion immediately changed to music. That was it, the decision was made. Teddy called his parents to tell them of the new plans, packed his bags and hit the road. Teddy spent time in Vail, Colorado, playing music to support his snowboarding habit before making the final move to Nashville.
